Morton Boats

Morton Boats is a wholly owned family business formed in 1987 by Peter and Paul Richards. Initially it began as a boat repair business but rapidly expanded into marine retail. A successful boatbuilding operation began in 1993 having now built and marketed over 60 of our Eagle 525s, a high quality trailer sailer. Over the years they have built up a very loyal customer base, this being achieved by offering a personal service and, by keeping overheads to a minimum, their prices have always been most competitive.

This combined with a comprehensive stock holding amounting to over 10,000 items they feel makes Morton Boats one of the leading chandlers in the UK. They carry a large and comprehensive range of boats, chandlery products, accessories and have been in the marine industry since 1987 and have experience and knowledge which not many can claim! Mastep products are manufactured by Morton Boats; a company with many years experience in the production and distribution of glass-fibre, nylon and polyethylene products.

E & R Boats

E & R Boats is a small family owned business founded in 1990, even though their boating roots date back to 1981. Their staffs combined experience in the marine industry totals over 50 years. They strive to provide quality pre-owned boats at affordable prices. This endeavor began when they themself found it difficult to locate a nice clean used boat for my personal use and developed into an ongoing enterprise. They have expanded their business to include a vast variety of Runabouts, Cuddy’s, Cruisers, Performance Boats, Pontoon Boats, and all types of Fishing Boats, including a new line, Clearwater Sport Fishing Boats.

The question they get the most is “where do you get your boats from”? their answer is simple. Unlike some pre-owned boat dealers, their relationship with local Franchise Dealers are strong and built from years of solid business practices. They never purchase vessels at auction because you have no knowledge of the origin of the vessel. E&R Boats owns their entire inventory and only purchase the best possible vessels from reputable Franchise Dealers. This business has been built on the sound principle of treating people as they would expect to be treated in making a significant purchase such as a boat. It is their sincere desire to provide their customer with the boat that fulfills their need and not simply sell a boat.

Progression boats

All Progression boats are 100% balsa cored, blueprinted out of the molds, and race ready. While other manufacturers will try to impress you with fancy paint, we back up our claims in writing. Why does Progression take such bold steps to educate our customers? The real question is, why are we the only ones that do this. A Progression is an all composite boat, featuring Baltek’s composite panels and Contourcore balsa coring, Ashland Chemicals AME 4000 series resin, and 100% vacuum bagging – a process that ensures the ultimate in light weight and strength. But these advanced materials and technologies can only be harnessed to their maximum by the dedicated craftsman that implement them.

In today’s market, when the average boat owner finances their package for five to ten years, it’s nice to know that Progression is still proud to stand behind their work. Because of this, you get a greater trade-in value as well as great resale. Other manufacturers would prefer not to have anything to do with their boats after one to three years. Obviously they don’t believe in their own craftsmanship. Progression boats are our own design, not a splash or a copy from some other company. Progression took its ideas to the drawing board and computers, then built wooden plugs to fiberglass molds. The benefit of this is that we know more about their boats than anyone in the world.
