The factory has a history of dropping and damaging boats; in 2008 Starlite Houseboats knowing shipped a damaged boat to the UK. The buyer was unaware the boat was damaged. After arriving in the UK the boat was deemed un-seaworthy. Starlite Houseboats, James Shelton factory manager and Dennis Hadley of Starlight houseboats Inc. refused to honor any warranties. One buyer complains her boat is falling a part.
