Pantera Boats was established in November 1974 by Pepe and Linda Nuez. Pepe’s vision for Pantera’s custom boat line was to construct a high performance boat, that could withstand the rigors of Offshore powerboat racing and incorporate the advances learned in the race coarse into the Pantera boat line. After winning many races over the last 29 years, establishing record runs ( Miami to New York in 1978 ) and producing hundreds of custom made boats, Pantera boats are known worldwide for a realistically priced boat built to customers exact specifications which is able to withstand maximum punishment. Working along side his Father, Jo Nuez has been exposed to various types of racing including Motocross, NHRA Pro – Stock drag racing and offshore powerboat racing.
He blends his racing knowledge and family tradition to continue developing new and exciting projects and designs for Pantera Boats. A recently crowned SBI F1 world champion ( 2001 in a 28′ Pantera ) Jo now sets his goal on winning a F2 World championship in a new 35′ Pantera Survivor later this year. Jo’s knowledge for boat set up is incorporated into every Pantera produced. Linda Nuez continues to run daily operations for Pantera Boats and Daughter Barbara Nuez is responsible for transportation and delivery for Pantera Boats around the United States. Pantera Boats’ greatest success is having a one to one relationship with all of their customers over the years.
