A silver-haired man trolls for walleyes along a stretch of rocky shoreline on a Minnesota lake. His old 10-hp Johnson Sea Horse chugs away happily as it always has. His boat, built in 1946 and as silver as his hair, bears the name “Aluminum Boat Company.” He takes nostalgic pride in fishing from the preserved vintage craft. As the old man trolls, he passes another boat working in the opposite direction – under the silent power of a bow-mounted electric trolling motor. The big fishing rig, a Crestliner Tournament Series 202, measures 20 feet. Within its smooth, sleek welded hull is every convenience an angler could hope for.
For 2008, Crestliner overhauled it’s pontoon line and introduced a redesigned product. New models of boats were introduced as well. Crestliner continues to grow and innovate. Big on fishing and playing. The bow has a serious fishing platform that transforms quickly into a bow-rider configuration. Lockable in-floor storage keeps the ride clutter-free. The walk-through, open bow design makes it easy to take turns casting off the bow, sitting at the helm or tossing the tow rope off the back to skiers, tubers and wakeboarders. Backwater Series: Modified V-hull in tiller, side console or center console, in lengths from 16 to 18 feet. All welded construction, with flat aluminum floors for outstanding durability.
