The Atomix range of boats have been designed by world renowned kiwi yacht and power boat designer, Brett Bakewell-White and have specifically been designed with a deep vee hull to suit the rugged NZ conditions. Atomix Boats was set up in 2004 by William Xu. The entrepreneurial young man decided to capitalise on his contacts in China and his vision of producing high quality motorboats at an affordable price was born. William has set up a purpose built factory in JinHua which is 300kms south east of Shanghai, China.
To ensure the quality of the product, he has a kiwi boat builder with over 20 years experience in the trade, overseeing all production, managing quality control and all training of staff. William is based in China. William’s philosophy was to make boats that everyone can afford. A vital part of this was in the decision to cut out the middle man and sell direct to the public. Hence, Atomix Boats are now selling direct to the public in New Zealand via bases in Auckland. Atomix boats are now exported to the UK, Norway and Australia and are in negotiations for distributorships in Italy, France and Canada.
